it has been a busy couple of months

sorry i haven't been keeping you up to date with Ben blog it has been so busy for the whole family,

happy birthday 2 ND Ben

Ben enjoyed his birthday for a little , as we has to dash out for three day opening is present once we had gotten back from we were from,the yellow Mark on his head is from paint that he received ,there are things to arrange so much to do,

you wouldn't think that this little boy was sick, i remember him that day he was born like it was yesterday ,Ben is showing the sign of being terrible two kid , getting upset, throwing thing , and drawing on the wall, and playing silly bugger but otherwise is a happy child

i have also gotten back into scrap booking slowly , here are some layout that i have done ,

happy Easter to everyone

Ben really enjoyed Easter this year he was mainly enjoying fining Easter egg in our Easter egg hunt it was cute to see him get exercises when he found a egg after the Easter egg hunt we decide to enjoyed the rest of the day at home ,after a couple of day eating the eggs it came worst the other end, baths after baths.

Ben has been going back to the hospital every two week now , and every time he put on them scales it worry me cause he is losing weight , they are thinking about putting back the stent , which will be good and to see Ben actually be able to eat normal again and hopefully weight gain once again , cross finger

after the Easter break i rang up the hospital to find out when is Ben having the next dilation they said on the 3rd of April but make sure that your in first thing in the morning . i through i hope that their would be the stent in as well,

3rd April

well i arrival a bit late to the hospital has i was suppose to be there at 7 am but instead i got there 8:45am , after finding out that he was first on the morning list , dam , but it was traffic was the blame from yesterday 3.4.08 heavy wind at the speeds of 125km there were tree branch everywhere cars were just trying to miss them , after sitting at the hospital after a while i was told from the doctor that Ben is receiving the stent to-day , i was so happy to hear that and how would Ben Will also feel we are planning to leave it in there for 6 months,

it going to be good , cross finger Ben doesn't get sick ,after giving Ben a kiss and cuddle , for the doctor to do their job in putting the stent in after setting in the waiting fro 40 minutes the doctor came back with good news, that they have put the stent , but before putting in the stent they had to put a guide wire in to stretch it has it was really tight , and he said that we see you in 6 months time, . October!

after sitting the day surgery for a while we were allow to go home

the next appoiment at the royal children hospital for his heart would be in may ,

febuary ben had the stent removed

has i know it has been a long time since i wrote to you , so much things have had happen , i have big news for you , ben is now a big boy he talking more and no longer in a cot , but in stead is in a big boy bed and loving it , the first nigth he fell out of it but was okay after it

i had to ring up his surgen to find out what time does he want ben for the stent produce and to change of his button for the second time with that weeek following to the produceer he then said coming in on the 8 of feb and no food given after 2:00am , that kool i said , has ben has been so good with the stent just hopfully their dont go pullig it out,



when we got there the nurse were so impress to see how ben is doing well ,and then we were also told that he will be the first one on the list, and hopfully we will able to get out of there before lunch time and that way paul can get ready to go to work ,not long we where call to take ben in for this produccer i had was allow to go in with him ,

(i mean have you ever gone in there when their put the child to sleep , it a scary feeling , you feel shock , but then your reasu re that their in good hand )

so i had to be strong

last month i had to put my dog down , she was very old she was 14 year plus but in dog year she was 80+ , it was the toughest thing i ever had to do letting her go but i think that she wont be in pain anymore and one day we will meet again ,

after the doctor have finish with ben their then gave the news that their had to remove the stent and come back in 2 week to have an sollow contrast to see how thing are , and two weeks after that he has to have an balloon dulaition ,i was hoping that we wouldn't have to have duliation , but i was wrong, hopfully it not every two weeks , cross fingure and hope for the best ,

after ben was well enougth to go home ,he was still tried , all the way back home and most of the day he slept, , i throught hopfully nothing is wrong with him to be sleeping so much, after he slept he started to cought the barky tof cought , , so i tten took him to the local doctor and they check him over , he wasn't well he had a temp of 39.5 degreed and his satuartion level were 78-89 percent , so after being admitted to casey ER hospital , then have to be told that casey hosptail was ready agrid to take ben in their care didnt have the tool to help ben we were then taken to monash , at lease monash know more then casey ,
and that they do work on kids like ben it was nice to know there was a hosptail that knew,

with oxgen on him , and him having broctist and amonina , it was hard , for the 1st two day ben was to have oxgen goss he didnt like the nose pone , the number of time he had taken it off , i dont blame the poor man ,

3rd day and 24 hours off from the oxygen and eating and drink ing well we finaly were allow home ,

to-day ben isnt doing well with his feeds he now gagging on his milk and tea , anything that he put in his month , i am scare that he is also losing weigth , i just dont know what to do ,i haveto be strong , but at the monent i cant , if anyone got any pointer please let me know ,
being a parent of three kids can get easy with their food , but with ben can become a bit hard when he goes off his food , i know baby lose their baby fat ,but i hope he doesnt lose it to much ,

not long until Ben is turning two . it is like yesterday when i had him , and now he is a happy boy , we did even up stay at a friend house for the celebrations , on where i had drunk a little to much and ended up in the hospital;, silly billy me, i have learn my lesson and i have promise i not going to drink again , i was 3 time over the limit so it was lucky i dint drive,from a Small amount of alcholod can send you over , ! oops! , i through that Chrissy was for he kids and new year was for the adult , and i just wanted to relax and shared a drink or two with close friend
but the next morning after the night i was pretty much in bed resting my head from the night, while Paul looks after the kids

Ben has been pretty good this month , i am taking to see Dr Michael notorny and i think he going to be happy with his process, yeah !
he is so helpful , he had help me get the dishes out of the dish washer and then help me put them in the basket , he like to help ,and also the other two, they can be good kids when their want to,
has the saying go: "everyone has their days "
Paul has started an new job , at 5 ways food service in Dandenong , it pay $20 p/h and the boss is going to put him on full time work , has he didn't have work over the holiday it was a bit hard at first to try to make end meat but we manger to get there "if there a will ,there a way "

thing have been good so far , Erick is going to school soon , but i think i am going to be lost without him, and then also Claire to , and i will have only Ben and Paul , has Paul work late afternoon shift , we cam n spend more time at home and work in the afternoon,
my sister is soon going to be living with us, which will be great , the kids just love her , , so i hope that the change wont send him back ward , which at time if his routine change can actually send back, and once he does that it can take week for him to actually get back on track

this month of December,

merry christmas to everyone

on the 2.12.2007 it was his sister birthday Claire who is nine, for my self it gone so quick cant believe she is already nine , it was like yesterday i remember having labour pain and Paul flying down Anthony cutting (near Bacchus march, and also near Melton , trying to get me to the hospital, cos time fly fast , but at time i think there time where she think she 16 instead of nine, i think i am going to get scare when she a teenager , run run run !!!!
Ben is eating so much better , he feed are not thicken and he doing so well without it ,he only on his pump at night , and eating oral feed durning the day , it wonderful ,

today the 9.12 Pakenham was holding a Christmas carols , and Claire glass was in their to perform , there Christmas song big white Bloomer , Ben was clapping and dancing to the music , he has such a good time, , after Claire class had finish the performance we then went food so i can give them their tea, and Ben so yummy tasting food ,
Ben has to go back to the hospital on the 21 to the another scope which mean he has to go under gas for him to go to sleep , , i think that Joe is going to be really happy with Ben process, we are so very happy with his process ,

it been 8 weeks since last weigth and put 200 grams

ben is good with his weight

we haven't been to busy this month , Ben is doing really good on his oral intake, it amazing on how a medical device can improve some life, i am talking about the stent, i was a bit ups and down with it at first but after i saw the overwhelming of what it can on improving of Ben life In oral intake it was good,

mum Christmas hamper came Tuesday the 20 .11.2007, and Ben was happy to see what was inside the box, in total there where 45 boxes, going to was n really good Christmas , this Christmas Ben will be a bit older and will understand it a little bit more , as last year he was small and didn't really understand what the fuss was about Christmas, this year i think he has a little bit more to understand more about it ,
straight away i had been putting the food away and what did Ben decide to do , eat the foam boxes, grrr , he so quick so i has to clear is throat, at one point did i think if it was getting tight , but it two day for it to clear out from his mouth , pain taking work but it all worth it at some point.lol

Monday the 26.11.07 we had to take Ben to the Casey hospital to have his button inserted has the other one pop and lucky i had a spade on for him , i try go put it in but he was in a lot of pain has it was , so then we took him in , has we pretty much ask if they insert tube in to belly , so lucky their do , i was happy in that way , once the doctor came to do we pretty much had to was wrap his legs and arm so he wouldn't move has much , i know it may sound cruel but you have to be cruel to be kind, once it insert he was has happy has Larry, , but i had nurse him in the back of the car to help him settle a little bit more, has his tubby may been a bit sore ,

Tuesday the 27.11.2007
i had taken Ben to the health nurse straight after i had gone to pick up Erick, so i wanted to see on how much weight Ben has been putting on since he was last weight 8 weeks ago ,his last weight was 10.9 kilo , he 50 percentile

and to-day 27.11. 12.12 kilo , he 50 percentile
and he heigth is 84 cm
and his Head size measure at 47 cm , appartenly his head won't grown has much , but his development is good, he talking more , and climbing to, and putting object into place , after Ben getting weight while taking the tape of his belly they had forgotten to put water into the tube , so we had to tape it up again and waited until be get home so i can put water into so i can remove the tape and hopefully it will just stay in there,
and he love to help me with the house work, it great if only the other two where like that, lol

well next month will be such a busy month with Christmas and other thing that will be going on ,
well Ben has been a busy little bee , just buzzing around

Ben has been doing so well this months , he hasn't be chucking up and he manger to keep it all down , he also so much netter since he has food , he doesn't pick up thing on the floor now ,Ben has also use more words , like mum , when i said Ben ,he would said mum, thank you , and love tickling you , and also picking on his brother ,

we have finally put the stent in

we got a new car,
04.10.2007 we have a new car , vz white station wagon Holden commodore , 2005 , it only two year old and it still has the three year new car warranty with it , , so how i can take Ben in hospital with out the car actually breaking down , go Holden power ,
Thursday the 11.10..2007 , the decision is made to put the stent down Ben oesophagus , there would be complication in the process , but cross finger it goes well, ,we had gotten into the treatment room waiting for the surgeon and Steve came out to explain what may happen, , it doesn't sound that good but it the last restored we will have , poor little man , has their take Ben away to the operating room ,all i can think i hope it goes well ,
an hour later the surgeon came back with wonderful news that everything had gone well and we ill have to do an x-ray to make sure it hasn't move ,
we were then transfer to 4 main for the rest of the day and night , until tomorrow when he will go go back under to oesgouscrope to see if in place ,
at the moment Ben is so resting , and soon i be like that too going to sleep ,
i will keep you in inform on how it goes ,

after Ben had gotten up , one if the surgeon came back to see if we can actually try to give Ben some food, , i was a bit unsure but it better for Ben and us, just to make sure that nothing get stuck , after Ben finish the whole bowl , he had manger to keep it in ,but an hour later after the food intake i pretty much wore it, so has i had clothes that i had to go home on, has it was an over night stay , so i ask the nurse if i can have hospital gown , and has the back was an open back i need another , , so i got change and wash the clothes that i had,
has Ben must have still been coming over from the operationi can see how he throw up on me, after his chuck he actually felt better,
as Friday he has to fasten has he had another prouder , where they will put the scope just to look to see if it hasn't move,
he didn't go in to threather until the afternoon but has he waited he decide to visited neonatal to show how Ben is doing, there where nurse that new us and some that didn't, , neonatal look so much better then Ben was in, ,
after 30 minutes from Ben going in, Joe came back with wonderful news that it hasn't move and an hour later Ben where allow to go home,
Saturday the 12 .10.2007
Ben was so rap to getting food, he had just a big feed , 2 tin of baby food , 2 bottle of toddle gold milk, and he had mange to keep it down ,
we are so proud of him, we have also notice in that past two week he hasn't pick thing up from the floor , he now know he can eat and drink, but at night we still put him on his feed ,

, Monday 15.10.2007 his mickey button had a tiny hole in it so we had to go back to get another,
but at the moment Ben has gotten a cold so Wednesday 24, Ben has a doc appointment to see what the doc can do ,
